TRIAL WEEK ONE – Representing Client with Americans with Disabilities Act Claim
Attorney John Vanacore is currently in trial at Merrimack County Superior Court on behalf of a 32-year State employee who sought reasonable accommodations for her medical disability. The plaintiff has a sleep disorder and other conditions for which she requested to work afternoon as reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. She also requested to work evening hours in accordance with the State’s telework policy. When her request was denied, she was forced into early retirement, causing significant financial losses. The Court has allowed this case to be tried during afternoon sessions in order to accommodate the plaintiff’s disability.
